Samantha Lentini is an artist/fashion designer and overall multidisciplinary creative based in the Inner North of Melbourne, Australia.

Always being described as a child with an artistic flair and an even greater love for fashion design, Samantha set on a journey of studying, creating and working within fashion early in her adulthood (which she still works in today, with her namesake brand; and often found herself creating art in the sidelines as a subconscious means to coping with her own anxiety.

It was not until the loss of her friend, James Marcon; who sadly took his own life in December 2012 – and hearing of his brave plight to self-regulation and discovery via art therapy through his tribute, that Samantha consciously discovered just how beneficially healing creating art could truly be and started to practice and expand her skills in the art realm.

After a chance upload of an artwork on Instagram in early 2013, Samantha officially became an artist; selling her first paint and mixed media piece to a client in Adelaide, Australia. Since that moment, slowly but surely, her list of client orders grew and has now featured in over 400 homes; both Australia-wide and internationally.

Over the past nine years, through ongoing experimentation and the challenging of conventional practices; Samantha is considered to be a chameleon of artistic styles within the local art industry. Her self-taught skills and carefully developed techniques have now harboured an in-depth understanding across a variety of mediums; resulting in not only successfully working within the complexities of client briefs, but also in the translation of a concept from the mind to medium.

Samantha's vast resume of work includes fine line works on paper, illustrations; for both children and adults, lettering, abstract canvas’ pieces, wall murals for business’, photography collages, works on mirrored Perspex and is now currently working on incorporating her artwork onto furniture and homewares. The essence of feminism is imminent in the development of Samantha’s works. A great portion of the body of her work aligns directly with her own journey of self-discovery of being a young woman, forging an identity on this earth. Her work primarily features women; women in abstract, painterly and minimalistic forms, women’s faces and bodies, women in Cubism, women in paint drip, women in Continuous Line – an unplanned journey that is an ongoing discovery of endless visual and conceptual results.

Through her work, regardless of technique, Samantha seeks to positively impact the environment of which her work will be displayed – not only for the aesthetic pleasure of the onlooker, but also to raise surrounding moods through her use of harmonising colours, balance and form. Ultimately, Samantha’s work is an honest deep-dive into her own personal emotions and experiences, both past and present.
